Than Puppy Breath?
I picked him up yesterday.
The whole drive home I couldn't stop thinking about my English Bulldog "Angus".
Angus has been gone to doggie heaven for 4 years now.
Those big eyes,
That schmooshed-in nose,
The loud snore while he slept.
This puppy has so many of the same characteristics!
You sent in so many great suggestions for names!
We had narrowed it down to Rufus & Guido.
We were gonna wait to see his personality before we decided for sure.
After meeting him, we just knew his name!
Gus! He is a Gus!

This is the adorable position that you are most likely to find Gus.
He is NOT used to hardwood floors!
His front feet sprawl apart and he pushes himself around with his back legs.
He kinda looks like he is skiing!
Too Cute!!

I'm gonna try to get a video of the little goof floor-skiing today.
Until then, I'm drunk on puppy breath!

I love, love, love puppy breath. And your little puppy is adorable. Makes me almost, I said almost, want a puppy.
ReplyDeleteMmm, I can smell those sweet, sweet little ears from here! Cute cute!
ReplyDeleteSimply adorable! We too have a Boston Terrier. Her name is Elsie. I love Pugs. My sister has a Pugle. Beagle/Pug named Plinko.
ReplyDeleteGus is sooo adorable! Congrats on the new addition to your family!
ReplyDeleteAdorable isn't the word for him!
ReplyDeleteAnd just to let you know...my son calls me Gus...
Yeah, puppy breath was lovely...compared to our dog's current breath after eating chicken poop. :P
ReplyDeleteHappy puppy days!
I think puppy breath is God's way of making us fall in love... before they start smelling like the latest roadkill they rolled in!
ReplyDeleteWe used to have a liver spot Dalmation and his greatest joy in life was eating and rolling in road-kill skunks! We would give him a bath and he would end up smelling half-way presentable, but then he would... fart! GAAAAAAAAAG!!!
Aaaawwwww, so cute!
ReplyDeleteCutest thing I ever saw! My son has an English Bull named Winnie. She is a snorer as well and hates hardwood floors. If a dog can tiptoe, I think that's the only way to describe how Winnie gets across the hardwood! LOL
ReplyDeleteHe's so cute! That's why I have 2 dogs. They make puppies to darn cute. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHe is soooo cute and you're right, he does look like a Gus.
ReplyDeleteCongrat's on the new puppy.
ReplyDeleteYou are so going to love that Pug they are great dogs. Take it from me. Mine is 9 years old now, her name is Zoe. They are the cutest puppies you ever want to see oh & there ears are so soft.
Good luck & contgrats.

Aww he is so cute and Gus is a perfect name. We didn't get our Pug until she was 10 months old so I missed that puppy stage.
ReplyDeleteOh My Gosh!!! He is to cute for words! I am happy for you.
ReplyDeleteOMG that last photo is SOOOOO cute!!!
