It's time to get serious about our plans for the 4th of July week-end.
You already know about the great BonFire Championship of the world.
But thats in the evening....
We usually have a big Crawfish-Boil or a Pig-Roast, but this year it's gonna be a little smaller.
The Man-of-my-Dreams is coming home from Man-Town .
Worker #1's girlfriend is gonna come over.
We'll throw a brisket and some ribs on the pit.
Then head out to the lake (we have a big ole pontoon boat that will fit us all plus some!). We'll do some fishing, swimming, and playing around.
Just have some good family-fun.
Then it'll be back to the farm eat some prize-winning recipe BBQ and prepare for the fire!
On the menu
Smoked Brisket
Smoked ribs
sausage
baked beans
roasted corn on the cob
Fresh Lemon-aid and Sweet Tea.
then we'll top it off with some homemade blueberry Ice Cream & of course S'mores on the fire.
Sounds like a perfect day!

We are having a reunion thingy on the 5th....so, don't really know what we are doing on the 4th...hmmmm, guess I'd better think about it. Maybe go floating down the Illinois river on a raft...that sounds like fun.
