A Recipe SO Good, Your Husband Might Pimp You Out Too!

I am posting this recipe because my husband has requested that I make it at least one night a week for the past 2 years!
I am afraid his love of this dish if getting out of control!

He now, is asking me to make it for the guys at work!
Ladies....
I think it is important to have some great recipes in your dinner arsenal.
But remember....
It can back-fire on ya!
Enjoy!

Tonight's Vittles on the farm will be....

Tater-Tot Casserole!!
Sometimes you just need the extreme comfort of a good, easy to throw together, casserole.
This one fits the bill!
It's super-easy to make.
And even easier to eat!

I have never found a man who didn't inhale this dish!

What Did YOUR Week-End Look Like?

Mine Looked Something Like This....

((YIPPEE!!))
As we do on most Summer week-ends, we loaded up and took the kids to Lake Livingston.

Day #1
We spent trying to cause great bodily harm to the short people by pulling them on the water at a high rate of speed BEHIND the boat.
At always starts out innocently enough.
The kids are having fun and enjoying a swift ride around the warm water....

Then they get Cocky...

So, we do what any respectable parent would do!...

We try to DESTROY them!

We simply HAVE to show the little whippersnappers who is really the Boss ya know!

 Oh...
And Yeah...
We WON!

That evening I had to begrudgingly leave the beautiful lake to go join my Spoiled-Rotten-Little-Sister (and a bunch of other people) for her 30th Birthday Dinner an hour and a half away.

We went to FEAST

It was yummy!
And...  There were SNAILS involved!
I'll post all about the yummy (and freaky) food later today on my food blog Craving Comfort.

Day #2
The short people admitted that we were the champions,
So, we let them play in the lake, we all had a blast!

Some learned how to walk on water!

Some learned how to "Strike a Pose"

Some learned how to FLY!

And, Everyone tried to avoid the dreaded "belly-flop"
Some were NOT successful!

The Last Iced Coffee Recipe You'll EVER Need!

It is SO HOT!
Too hot to NOT have something ice cold in your hand at all times!

I love Iced Coffee.
No...  I Love Creamy Iced Coffee.
I Love Creamy and Sweet Iced Coffee.

But...

I HATE paying over $4 a glass for it at some fancy-schmancy coffee house!
Not to mention the fact that I live out in the boonies.
There are NO Fancy-Schmancy coffee houses out in my pasture!
I KNOW!  Sob for me... It's a terrible tragedy!

anyway...

I've tried and tried to duplicate the sweet & creaminess of  my coffee-house drink many... MANY times.
Each time, I ended up with watered-down coffee with milk. YUCK

Last month, the Man-of-My-Dreams and I took the kids into town to get them sno-cones.
I decided to order a root-beer float sno cone.
This sno-cone had root-beer syrup and was topped with a wonderful "Sweet Cream".
It was Ah-Maz-Zing!
So wonderful, in fact, that I forced the poor 15yr old boy working the stand to tell me how it was made.

It is so simple!
So versatile!
So YUMMY!
I knew I could find a use for this sweet cream.
And I DID!
It makes the perfect Creamy-Sweet Iced Coffee!
And I'm gonna show ya how to make it yourself!
The full recipe and step-by-step pictures can be found on my cooking blog "Craving Comfort"
