But this scene made me pause.
It made me shudder.
It made me run inside and grab my camera.
There is something very wrong and down-right disturbing about this.
As a mother who has nursed 4 babies, I cringe at the sight of this.I mean... come on! These kittens are almost as big as Momma is!!
(with the exception of the little calico orphan we found in our pontoon boat, who she adopted as if he was her own)
And she is still letting them nurse!
Just yesterday we were watching these very same cats hunt down and kill barn mice, and now they are nursing like new-born kittens?
Come on Momma!
It's time to cut the cord!

We have a half grown bull calf that is still nursing his mom. he is almost as big as she is. Hubby separated them for a month or more and thought he was weaned .. Not so.. Looks strange .
