The big boys and I have been working on building a tranquil water garden/koi pond in our front yard.
I have had visions of a serene, pretty, peaceful place where I could sit and watch the beautiful fish and relax by a bubbling fountain.
A little corner of heaven right here on our farm.
A little spot of beauty.
Hurricane Ike decided to give our old swimming pool a death hit, so part of that old pool made for a great liner for the new little pond!
They fixed up the hole and we turned it into a beautiful water garden.
We made a few filters, so the water is crystal clear.
Tossed in a few plants & koi.
Set in a pretty fountain and we were in business!
All we need to complete our masterpiece are some rocks to line the edge of our new pond and cover the blue pool liner.
The children were out playing this morning.
The Little-Foreman-in-Pink came running into the house...
"I LOVE our new pond Mommy!!" she yelled.
"Come see!!"
I followed her out to the pond...
THIS is what I found.
Thank Goodness she didn't catch any Koi!
She is a little bit redneck....
I don't know where she gets it.
**sigh**
(and yes.... she dressed herself too!)

5 amazing comments. Talk To Me!!:
LOL! too cute!
Mine would probably scoop them up in a bucket and bring them into the house. She's ALWAYS bringing animals into the house!
Oh that's funny. Red neck or not, at least she'll always know how to fend for herself!
lol Too funny, we have so many great photos of my daughter that I only print in black and white, because her hilarious outfits take away from the photo.
She's adorable.
Cute pic. Tranquil ponds can be found at tranquilponds.com

Comments make me dance a little jig.
And that makes my children run and hide in shame.
