Avoidance

I have a TON to do!

The house is a wreck!
Mt Laundry is mile-high.
More yard work needs finished.
The pool needs emptied of it's thick green sludge & debris.
Preps need to be stuffed back into it's assigned storage space.
Freezer needs cleaned out.
The dishwasher needs fixed.
I need to caulk around the newly loose window-frames.
Nesting boxes need re-attached to the hen-house wall.
The shelves in the pantry/mud-room need organized so I can find something again.
Debris needs burnt.
etc etc etc...

I have found myself in a little bit of a Post Ike slump.
I feel overwhelmed with the tasks at hand.

So.... what am I gonna do today?
All of the boys are gone for the week-end (they needed a break) it's just the Little-Foreman-in-Pink and I home.
Instead of getting busy working...
I'm planning on driving 2 hours to go spend the night with the Man-of-My-Dreams.

Can we say avoidance?
ummm maybe just a tad.

I wouldn't call it avoidance hun! I call it taking a break from the chaos! Enjoy your night away!! You will come back refreshed and ready to tackle it again. You need to step away from it every few days...the mess isn't going anywhere and you will get it done in no time!

My thoughts are with you and wish I were closer to help out! My mom lives in Granbury, but still a long way from you! I can send you good vibes though!

I second Teresa...definitely not avoidance. Your brain, and your body, need a break. Good for you for listening to them!

I often find myself not doing a thing when everything is too overwhelming. It's like I have SO much to get done I don't know where to start...so I just never start.

Hopefully your well-deserved break will help you wrap your mind around a way to organize the chaos without driving yourself batty.

Enjoy your mini-vacation!

It sounds like you have a lot on your plate. I would want a night away too. I can't stand it when my husband is gone.
