They call for mini chocolate chips in the dough,
But I live in the boonies and was out of mini chocolate chips.
I had a choice... use mini M&M's or driving to the city to buy the chocolate chips..
M&M's won!
And the Little-Foreman-in-Pink loves the "rainbow" look.

29 amazing comments. Talk To Me!!:
I think you need a step 2 1/2 - you forgot the flour! :)
You are right! I just noticed that. thanks! I am quite the dork! lol
MMmmmm! These look delicious!!
Wow they look so beautiful and delicious, i can imagine biting into one of theose. Yumm.
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO making these cookies, Dana!
Great, just great...that added several pounds to my butt, and now I have to make it to add a few more pounds to the rest of me.
Those look great. I wish I could con somebody into making them for me!

Just curious - why is it "forgotten" kiss?
- your spoiled rotten, "city girl", little sister
Bethany...
Because, unlike most cookies with kisses, you cannot see the kiss, it's not on top like usual. So... it'd tucked away inside a yummy crisp cookie and forgotten...
That sounds good right? cause I don't know! lol
Really cute idea.
Oh wow, these cookies have two of my favorite candies: M&Ms and hershey kisses. I saw this on food gawker and i am definitely bookmarking the recipe!
Ok.. now I know what I'm doing this weekend!! Those just look too darn good!

Those look amazing!
Dana....
When are you going to publish a cookbook? I will be first in line to buy one! I have made many of your recipes and they are all FANTASTIC!
Something to think about? please

What a fun little surprise! I like it!
I made these, chocolate cherry cookies and the maple snickerdoodles, these were the ones they liked the most, though the chocolate cherry were a close second. It probably wasn't fair of me to have 2 chocolate cookies with the maple snickerdoodles, they didn't seem to get touched...I think most will choose a chocolate cookie.
I made these with the mini chocolate chips, I didn't have the m&m, though I like the color of yours better.
These look delicious! I'll have to make them one day! I've made a similar cookie using the medium sized toblerone bars, absolutely amazing!
shouldnt there be eggs in this??
nope.... no eggs :)
thank u so much for ur help u useless fuck
dana u suckkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!
You asked a question, I answered it. What more do you want dear?
Oh I know! You need a reason for no eggs...
well..
A. This cookie recipe does not require eggs to rise.
You want a thin crisp cookie shell on your Kiss instead of a nice fluffy cookie.
B. This cookie does not need the additional binding qualities because the dough hold together fine on it's own.
Better?
Thats one of the unfortunate qualities of the internet...
the fact that we are forced to type in and visit websites written by people who we don't like.
Maybe someday this little world wide web will grow big enough to give us a choice of sites we would like to read.
Until then, I guess your forced to read mine.
Sorry.
I lurve you Dana! I'm bookmarking this for next time I'm in the mood to bake.
Poor anonymous, s/he's probably just upset that its lacking balls... if it had any, it would have left its name.
Wow what balls 'annoy'nomous has...No wait he/she doesn't other wise we'd see a name. What an idiot! Everyone your shit rocks Dana! Jealous people just make themselves look dumbass! They had nothing better to do than to start shit.... Get a life!! They're probably maxed out on their credit card and can't access porn anymore so they came to find excitement. LOL
I meant to say "everyone knows your shit rocks Dana" See I was so eager to push post, I didn't proof read LOL
Oh ps. I totally agree on the You Need to Write a Cookbook idea. You really should. :)
I love your idea for these cookies-they look "fun" like a celebration in a cookie! My grandkids (all boys) will be making these for Santa because you can't forget to give "him" kisses! Happy Holidays. To everyone who supported Dana during that horrible anonymous posting, GOOD FOR YOU!
Cindy
My cookies went flat in the oven, how do I keep the dome shape? Ross
