Forgotten Kiss Cookies

These cookies are bite-size bits of Heaven!
They call for mini chocolate chips in the dough,
But I live in the boonies and was out of mini chocolate chips.
I had a choice... use mini M&M's or driving to the city to buy the chocolate chips..
M&M's won!
And the Little-Foreman-in-Pink loves the "rainbow" look.
Dana's Forgotten Kiss Cookies

Ingredients

1 cup softened margarine
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup light brown sugar (packed)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 cup mini chocolate chips
1 9oz. bag Hershey Kisses

Chocolate drizzle (optional, directions below)

Directions
  1. Preheat over to 375 degrees f.
  2. In a large bowl, beat butter, sugars, and vanilla until well blended.
  3. Add the flour and blend until smooth.
  4. Stir in mini chocolate chips.
  5. Mold a scant Tablespoon of cookie dough around each unwrapped kiss, covering completely. Shape into balls.

  7. Bake 10-12 minutes or until set.
  8. Cool slightly, move from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.

Just curious - why is it "forgotten" kiss?

- your spoiled rotten, "city girl", little sister

Bethany...
Because, unlike most cookies with kisses, you cannot see the kiss, it's not on top like usual. So... it'd tucked away inside a yummy crisp cookie and forgotten...

That sounds good right? cause I don't know! lol

What a fun little surprise! I like it!

I made these, chocolate cherry cookies and the maple snickerdoodles, these were the ones they liked the most, though the chocolate cherry were a close second. It probably wasn't fair of me to have 2 chocolate cookies with the maple snickerdoodles, they didn't seem to get touched...I think most will choose a chocolate cookie.
I made these with the mini chocolate chips, I didn't have the m&m, though I like the color of yours better.

You asked a question, I answered it. What more do you want dear?

Oh I know! You need a reason for no eggs...
well..
A. This cookie recipe does not require eggs to rise.
You want a thin crisp cookie shell on your Kiss instead of a nice fluffy cookie.

B. This cookie does not need the additional binding qualities because the dough hold together fine on it's own.
Better?

Thats one of the unfortunate qualities of the internet...
the fact that we are forced to type in and visit websites written by people who we don't like.

Maybe someday this little world wide web will grow big enough to give us a choice of sites we would like to read.
Until then, I guess your forced to read mine.
Sorry.

I lurve you Dana! I'm bookmarking this for next time I'm in the mood to bake.

Poor anonymous, s/he's probably just upset that its lacking balls... if it had any, it would have left its name.

Unknown said...

Wow what balls 'annoy'nomous has...No wait he/she doesn't other wise we'd see a name. What an idiot! Everyone your shit rocks Dana! Jealous people just make themselves look dumbass! They had nothing better to do than to start shit.... Get a life!! They're probably maxed out on their credit card and can't access porn anymore so they came to find excitement. LOL

I love your idea for these cookies-they look "fun" like a celebration in a cookie! My grandkids (all boys) will be making these for Santa because you can't forget to give "him" kisses! Happy Holidays. To everyone who supported Dana during that horrible anonymous posting, GOOD FOR YOU!
